It's A New Year

I had a great New Years Eve and New Years Day!

My brother, his girlfriend and I went shopping in Louisville. Then later that night he made supper and we played games and watched the ball drop together! It was fun to celebrate with each other.

New Years we went to church then went to visit out grandparents, then went ot visit our mom. We rented a movie to watch and because of the windy day we were having the power went out. Once we found all the candles (mind you my mom had just moved in so we had to dig throught boxes)..thank goodness for cell phones, lol, my younger sisters had an idea to play charades..or a modified version of it! So each of us took our turns going up in front of the candle and being silly and having everyone guess. We had alot of fun with it and the girls loved it too!

Today the hubs and I relaxed and made a quick trip to town. We rented The Help and I am so excited to watch it!

On New Years Eve I started to think about the year that was coming to an end and the things that happened in it. The year was mostly filled with good things I graduated college and celebrated my one year wedding anniversary. The end wasn't great but things could have turned out alot worse. I am thankful for a good year and the great memories with my family and friends.

New Years Resolution
I never usually keep them but I like to set a few goals for the year and here are a few...

1. Get fit/lose 15-20 lbs
I always make this every year but I am going to really give an extra effort because I want to be fit and learn to enjoy excersising.

2. Take more pictures .
I dont have many pictures of things and the year goes by and unless my bf takes them, I dont have any lol so I want to be sure to not let another year go by without capturing it.

3. Buy more products made in USA
I saw an ABC News report about the idea of challenging Americans to buy more products made in the USA to help fuel the economy to create more jobs for Americans to lower unemployment. They had an update on that news story and showed that more jobs had been created with the help of the viewers who said they would start buying more US products. So that has encouraged me to try my best even if it makes a small difference.

I hope everyone has a great start to the new year!

The past few days...

It has been an exciting few days in our house!

My brother and his girlfriend are at our house. They got here Wednesday afternoon. When they got here we went to Dad's to give him his present (we split it) so Dad had to wait til the brother was in to get it. His girlfriend and I went to do a little shopping later and it was fun. I have learned these past few days I really enjoy her company!

Thursday the hubs and I went on a date! We had a gift card to the movie theatre and a TON to restaurants so we had dinner at Red Lobster and there I encountered the largest margarita ever...it was HUGE.

After dinner we went to the movies and saw We Bought A Zoo!

This movie is amazing. I loved everything about it and I think everyone should watch it. it brought tears to my eyes more than once and you cant help but get involved in the movie. I was rooting for the family the whole time and to make it better it is based on a true story (I love those). It was great and I will own it! lol

Today we have had a long day. My mom  was moving so we have been helping her all day. It actually went better than anticipated.

I was having some fun while we helped move lol.
The hubs, brother girlfriend and I are planning a family game night tonight! lol Should be fun!

Our Christmas

We had such a nice Christmas Eve and Christmas!

Christmas Eve was peaceful, we opened our presents that morning then that night my mom came and spent the night so she could go to church with us the next morning.

Sunday morning I woke up early and made a special breakfast recipe I found on pinterest! It was a hit...very yummy.

We went to church then went to the hubbys mamaw's for lunch then went to his mom's for Christmas dinner and presents that night. Then headed to our friends house to visit with them and exchange presents! I LOVE the zebra and pink clutch she had made for me! It was one of my favorites from Christmas.

The next day we had 2 more Christmases! One at his moms side of the family, then back to his mamaws wehre his cousing were all there and we had lots of presents and a great supper!

So today I took down the tree and all the decorations. The house is back to normal.

I will miss this time of year and I already have ideas and plans for next Christmas season!

Today I also had to make room for all the cookware I got for Christmas so that means I have a very organized kitchen, which is nice :)

My brother is coming in tomorrow so we still have one more small Christmas to have then it is officially done til next year :(
He will be here for 6 days which will be so nice so I was getting the spare bedroom ready for him.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas!

Day 7 through 12 of Favorites & My Week!

I have had a very busy week!

Sunday after church and work, my work had their Christmas Party..it was so much fun! I will miss working there. Monday was my last day BUT the next day I got another job! Perfecting timing...it was God's timing. I didnt even have time to stress about the loss of my income. I am so thankful and excited! I start January 3rd so I have a little vacation through the holidays.

Tuesday I went to KY. To see one of my besties. We had a gift exchange and went to the nail salon :) It was a very nice visit!

Wednesday I haad the intention of getting everything I needed for my families Christmas dinner (I was hosting). That morning I woke up with the worst toothache. I can usually manage those with Tylenol and oral gel BUT this time I had a bump in my mouth and my gums were swollen. I knew I had to go to the dentist. They had time for me, thank goodness. It was an abcess! The dentist took care of it but I have to have them removed soon. I was thankful it was taken care of and now just waitng to have these painful teeth out of my head for good!

Thursday I had to go back to town because I forgot things I needed! Ugh hate when that happens! Anyways I cleaned and baked all day and night!

Friday I cooked and cleaned some more! Yesterday was our families Christmas. I was very proud of myself. I made almost everything from scratch! And it all turned out great! We had a different kind of dinner. I made homemade potato soup, hawaiian roll, ham and swiss cheese casserole (yummy),cheeseball, my mom brought tortilla ham rollups and my dad brought homemade italiam meatball and weinies!
PLUS dessert! There are homeade sugar cookies and snickerdoodles. Chocolate covered pretzals, more cookies, puppychow AND a homemade pecan pie. It was pretty tastey for a first effort!

After dinner we read the Christmas story (from the Bible) and then opened presents! After that we watched A Christmas Story. It was a great Christmas evening. My brother will be home next week so we will have his Christmas then.

This morning, my hubby woke me up trying to convince me it was actually Christmas and that we should open presents, NOW! We were going to open them tonight after supper but he always gets so excited so I was like ok why not! lol Ariel loved all of her toys. She has played a little with all of them. Craig loved his goodies and I got a bundt cake pan, Miranda Lambert CD and colts p.j.'s! Plus our puppy lol.
So to continue on with my favorites. I did not keep up with this idea as well as I had planned on. SO the rest are here but they are short and sweet.

Day 7-My favorite movie of all time is

Wizard of Oz!

Day 8-Favorite cleaning item

Mr. Clean Eraser!

Day 9- Kathie Lee and Hoda..I just love them!

Day 10-My Large Utility Tote from 31! It fits EVERYTHING! And it is only $30!

Day-11-Scentsy! I love the different warmers and over 80 differents scents to choose from. Way better than candles :)

Day-12- My Favorite time of year

Christmas! I love the feeling and meaning!

I know..no pictures. I no I am bad. I'm gonna try and do better...maybe a New Year resolution!

I am watching Polor Express and enjoying this Christmas Eve!

I had such a fun day today. One of me besties and we went shopping. It was packed at the mall it was crazy! We still had a good time! AND we both found great sales so that made is so much better! We also ate our favorite restaurant...which leads me to Favorites Day 5...
Olive Garden!
It is my all time favorite restaurant. We got unlimited salad and breadatucks for lunch and it was only $6!
I love pasta and Italian food. Plus the andes mints are just an extra to make it the best!

Keeping up with the food theme Day 6 is...

Reeses!

My absolute favorite candy. Nothing tops it.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Tonight I am prepping for another interview..yay! Im hoping to hear something soon...fingers crossed!!

This is a short post today but for my favorites today its...

Her voice is amazing I could listen to her all day everyday.

That is all :)

Favorites Day 2 & 3

Today I had an interview..then one interview turned into two! So I hope they liked me and I should hopefully hear something soon!

Today after the interview I went to lunch with one of my besties! We had our Christmas gift exchange. My present was a box of Andes mints (YUMM) and this...

She gets me an ornament for the year...it is our new tradition. This is what she gets me every year for Christmas..isnt it cute???

I made her a goody bag of nail polish, chapstick and some of her favorite cookies (These are all things she loves) So that brings me to My favorites Day 2.

Lofthouse cookies.

These things are AMAZING. These are the cookies I tried to make her for Christmas. I found the recipe from pinterest http://authenticsuburbangourmet.blogspot.com/2011/09/lofthouse-style-frosted-sugar-cookies.html

They came out ok. Not exactly like lofthouse but definitely a good try! But these cookies make any day better!

Day 3 In Styler

This thing is a miracle worker. I can fix my hair in a shorter amount of time, whether its curl, straighten or just style to add body.

Also it takes my hair from a big frizzy mess to a sleek healthy look. I love it!

And tonight I am taking a night off from cooking!

Day 1 of Favorite Things

So I had a peaceful weekend. I have spent most of it reading! I finished New Moon and now onto Eclipse...can't wait to get through them all.

Today we slept in and piddled around the house and before I knew it, it was almost 4 pm! I went to get some  groceries and came home and cooked the rest of the night! I made Sour Cream Noodle Bake, which the hubby loves! I got the recipe from Pioneer Woman. I re-made Reeses popcorn again because the first time I burnt the popcorn so it didn't taste that good...obviously. AND I also made some cookie dough to make one of my BF's her favorite cookies for Christmas! I am tired! Cooking and dishes...then more cooking and more dishes..it gets tiring.

So today I am starting my 12 Days of my favorite things. Now these things can be a place, person, thing, just whatever I love. I will say that they are all very random! Today I am starting out with...

Disney World!!!
AHHHH!

I have only been there once but it was one of the best days I have ever had! I LOVE it and we are planning to go back. I love the idea that as an adult it is still acceptable to go there and act like a kid..all day and its OK! I love Disney World it is truly AMAZING!! If you have never been..GO!!!!

Now its sleepy time!
Goodnight :)

Frosty, peanut butter cookies and Christmas picture

I have not been that busy this week. Just relaxing at the house and working.

My hubby has been busy with school this week. It seems thats all he has been doing! But he gets a break after next week then it will be time to get ready for Christmas! I have the week of Christmas off for my vacation. I am so excited to have this time to prepare for Christmas at my house and to just enjoy the week!

I went to the Besties today to visit! I always enjoy spending time with her and T-A for any amount of time. They had a present for Ariel which she loves the toys. She has already chewed the tail off of one of the toys..lol

Tonight Frosty is on!! I made homemade peanut butter cookies for the occasion per the hubs request.

We also took out Christmas picture. I am not too thrilled with it but it will do. I will have to take a better picture of Ariel in her Christmas dress!

That is pretty much it! It has been a quiet week at the Roberts household!

Monday Part 2

So I finished up my Christmas shopping..yay! Its all wrapped and under the tree ready for Christmas!

The rain has finally stopped..thank goodness..it was beginning to look like a swamp outside.

Tonight I made baked potato soup
and for our snack while we watch Charlie Brown Christmas and Naughty or Nice Elves is Reeses Popcorn.

This is super easy.
Just melt 1/4 cup butter, 1/2 peanut butter, 1 cup chocolate then when melted pour over popped popcorn and then chill for 30 min then sprinkle powder sugar over top! It is very yummy!

Tonight I am starting the Twilight series! Yes I know I should've have read them all by now. But I am starting now and since I LOVE the movies I can't wait to match it with the books.

On a side note...I love the movies this time of year! They all have such a great message. There is no fighting, cussing or other nastiness. They teach to love each other and show each other kindness. It is nice to see.

Funday Monday!

If you can't tell by the title...I LOVE Kathie Lee and Hoda! Once my bestie is done with Hoda's book its my turn..I am excited to read it!

So I had kind of a melt down with the last post. I am starting to come to terms with how things are going to go. God knows how everything will turn out and the reasons for it. I have to trust that things will work out in the end.

So Saturday was a much needed girls day with my BF. We walked around downtown, I bought some books and then we went on the Candlelight Tour of Homes for Christmas. There were some beautiful homes and some were kind of weird but it was still fun!

Today the hubs is at school all day so it's just me and the puppy. It is a rainy, gloomy day so I am going to clean and cook some. There are a few recipes on pinterest that I am going to try. I am going to head to town later to finish up Christmas shopping then we will be all done!
WHEW!

I am going to do 12 days of favorite things. Just to share some things that I love!

What Now?

So I have had a crummy past couple of days.
Im looking for another job. Long story...not going into it again.
Im trying to think about something I can do with my degree...nothing spectacular is coming to mind.

I thought once I graduated there would be no problem in finding a good paying job then working my way to a great job and career I would love.
Not the case. I feel like Ive gone to school and now im thinking whats next?
Wheres the jobs and career fields that Im suppose to easily go into after college and make the big bucks or be one step ahead of all the others who didnt go to college.

I have yet to find them.

I mean im not wrong with thinking thats once I have put in the time and effort to get a college diploma it should payoff...right???

I have lots weighing heavy on my mind.

Thanksgiving, Black Friday and the Weekend..

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving! It has been awhile since my whole family has been together. I have missed it so much during the holidays. Hopefully we will keep doing this because it was great! There was sooo much food! I actually make a few things and they were a hit! My Mamaw said she was so proud of me..lol. I considered it my cooking coming out party lol. Everyone was taking pictures...except me of course but my Mom sent me a few of hers..lol I am going to try to make an effort to take more pictures..maybe a New Years resolution!
My hubby, myself and the brother... (yes the one with red hair..lol)

We had a few stops on our day, my family, Craig's family then friends of our that night.

BLACK FRIDAY
So since most of the stores opened at midnight thats what time we were there! IT.WAS.CRAZY. We went to Walmart first...MADHOUSE..but the lines weren't too bad. Then we went to Best Buy...ha that was a joke..they only had a handful of the items on sale available..I wont go back again. Instead I will start at Target then hit the mall. Target had I was looking for and the people were all calm and it was nice BUT the line was almost two hours! I guess you have to take the good with the bad! After that we hit the mall and there were some really good deals there. We then went to IHOP..yummy!! But we were totally delirious. I had to stop at Pet Smart to get things for the puppy almost everything was 50% off! So I got all her Christmas then to Bass Pro for 2 gift cards then headed home. We got back to my house at 930. I got out said bye then crashed in my bed.

I was so excited to put my tree up I slept for 3 hours then my 3:00 I had my tree up and decorated! After that my brother took us to see Breaking Dawn! I would watch it again and again..I love it.

Saturday I woke up sick! I totally blame the shopping trip! But it is fun to go but it sure catches up with you! So I didn't go to work but it was nice to spend some extra time with my brother before he left on Sunday.

Sunday and Monday have been back to normal. No guests at the house and back to work...it was nice having my brother home. I can't wait for Christmas! I hope he can come down then!

Today the hubby and I went to Clarksville. It was a nice day to ourselves!

Tomorrow I am going to visit my friend in KY. Should be a fun day..but I'll have to get up extra early..blahh.

Here is my tree! It is as big as I could get in my house!

Thanksgiving Eve

So my brother is coming home tonight! He is in the Air Force and is not close any more so whenever he comes its always exciting! I am just imagining all the other families who have loved ones coming in for the holidays. What an exciting time of year...I LOVE IT!!!
So I am making a yummy dinner for his arrival I found this recipe from pinterest http://www.candcmarriagefactory.com/2011/01/brown-sugar-and-balsamic-glazed-pork.html

It looks so good I cant wait to try it!

So I am stealing from my besties blog it's a Thanksgiving survey...
1. Do you eat stuffing or dressing? Stuffing....is there really a difference?

2. Did you ever dress up as a pilgrim at school? I was always an Indian. I made the headband and feathers from construction paper every year during Thanksgiving time!

3. What is your favorite dish at Thanksgiving? Hmmm I like the whole dinner...all of the pieces that make a traditional Thanksgiving meal but I guess my favorite is turkey and stuffing.

4. Are you all about the turkey? Or all about the sides? I am about all of it...but prob more the sides

5. Do you have a pumpkin pie at your house? Do you eat it? I am not a big fan of pumpkin pie BUT I do like desserts with pumpkin in it, just mixed with other stuff.

6. Do you watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in your pajamas while cooking every year? Ummm yes but not while cooking..at least not yet.lol

7. What other traditions do you associate with Thanksgiving? Naps, visiting with all the family, and laughter.

Day 22- I am thankful for hair products. I know this sounds vain but with my crazy curly hair if I had been born in an age without mousse of defrizzing serum..I would have looked like a poof ball. I would have never found a husband..I just know it!

Day 23-I am thankful for family dinners!

Everyone have a great Thanksgiving!!!

AMA Review!

Big disappointment last night...Adele was NOT there ughh..oh well at least she won a few awards.

There was some really great performances..J-Lo was amazing and so was Chris Brown (even though I dont really like him). LMFAO did the finale and the first half was fun BUT the second half was..umm..uhh a disaster! They were ripping their clothes off and gyrating everywhere and hopping...IT.WAS.A.MESS. and to make things worse David Hasselhoff came out too and ripped his pant off and gyrated too. Pretty disgusting. If you feel the need to expose yourself to the craziness I posted a link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UV3fICUXWzU

I am a Dancing With The Stars fanatic!! This week is the finale and ALL my votes go to J.R. and Karina! Maks is my favorite but his partner this year was not a good dancer and she had a bad attitude so I was ok to see them leave. J.R. is an American hero who deserves to win! GO J.R.!!!

Day 21-I am thankful for electricity! I get too scared to rely on just a candle at night. They makes things more spooky.

Sunday, November 20, 2011

Oh Sunday

So tonight is the AMA's and I am so excited to see Adele!!! I love her! And if you have have never heard her sing before you must go buy her CD because she is amazing!!
 She really is the best!

I finished 10 The Ten Best Days of My Life. It was a cute book and a pretty quick read. I read most of it yesterday. It does have some pretty far fetch ideas about heaven (at least in my opinion) but if you are wanting a book that is fun and emotional but not too much, then this is a good book to read! I loved seeing what her favorite days were. It got me thinking...if I had to pick the 10 best days of my life what would they be???

Day 20-I am thankful for music! I love all different kinds and I love being silly and dancing with it. It makes everything better and more fun.

Catching Up!

WOW

I have been a busy woman this week! I am off today and I made sure I penciled in some blogging time :)

Wednesday I went to see one of my Besties in Kentucky while she was visiting with her family. We had a fun day and decided to get those feather hair extensions...see?
Pretty cool? I think so lol

Thursday I worked all day...the anticipation for Breaking Dawn was KILLING me!!! So at midnight the other Bestie and I went to the movies and I loved it...Edward..ahhhhhhhh.
But there was some crazy stuff in there...someone even brought a child! I was like that is not ok! There was very mature and graphic material in the movie..poor kid will have nightmares!

So today is my relaxing/cleaning day because if I wasn't running around I was at work.

I am way behind on my days of thankfulness but I am catching up today...

Day 14-I am thankful for my hearing!
Day 15-I am thankful for my eye sight!
Day 16-I am thankful for my car! (Hopefully not jinxing myself) It has yet to give me any trouble and hopefully it stays that way.
Day 17-I am thankful we have money to take care of our needs. We do not go hungry, or cold. Our bills are always paid. Sometimes you think about all the things you want or wish to have and think about how bad you have it, but in reality we have everything we need. Some people don't have that and I am thankful the Lord has blessed us and helped us meet our needs.
Day 18-I am thankful for sunny days! There are not many of those right now...and probably not for a while but they are my favorite!
Day 19-I am thankful my husband lets me decorate how I want..and doesn't make a peep :)

I am so excited for the upcoming week! I love the holidays!

Day 12 &13 of Thankfulness

We have had a busy weekend!

Friday we went and saw Tower Heist with one of my besties and her hubby. We had fun BUT the movie was about a 5/10. Not bad but definitely not good. I would recommend another movie! lol

Saturday was Tristans annual Thanksgiving! The food was amazing, as always, and we had the best time with everyone. It seems to be the kick-off to the rest of the holiday season!

Tonight I made Three Cheese Stuffed Shells from Pioneer Woman...it was delicious! My mom and I loves it and so did the hubs even though he isn't crazy about ricatta cheese, he still said he would eat it again lol.

Day 12-I am thankful for my eduation. People around the world do not have the same opportunites to further their education I am so thankful I have went to school and graduated AND that I had a great support system throught the whole process.

Day 13- I am thankful for my health. I have never been a sickly person. It makes me sad to see good people who are sick or have diseases or things wrong they can't control. It makes me thankful that I have never had to deal with health issues.

Now back to our Sunday night shows on deck is Once Upon A Time :)

Thankfullnes Day 9,10,11 AND Book Review

We've been busy the past couple days!
Wednesday we went to the North American Livestock Show. It was fun and we all had a nice day! We went with our besties! lol

Yesterday I was at work all day and the hubs had homework up to his ears so I had no time to blog but I do this morning.

Day 9- I am thankful for the ability to read. It is a skill that most people take for granted. It is sad to think that some people never learn or have no one to teach them. I am thankful I live somewhere that teaches us to read.

Day 10- I am thankful that I live in a country where I am FREE! I have the freedom to choose to do whatever course in life I want. I am free to go to school, church, love and so much more without is someone telling me it has to be done a certain way. And as woman I am even more thankful that I can do anything a man can (for the most part lol). I do not have to wear certain clothes or be reminded in a daily life that I am subservient to men. I am free to choose and I am so thankful.

Day 11- I am thankful for our troops! Past and present. They all have an inner courage that many of us do not. They are willing to fight for our country at the highest cost. They are true heroes and I am thankful for the sacrifices to keep America safe.

*Book Review

I finished Safe Haven Tuesday night. The more I read the more I had to keep reading and the ending was like what??? There was a twist and the las half was more like a thriller! It was a love story but it was kind of a love story.

I dont think I could would have been as understanding as Carly but you will know what I am talking about once you read it.

It is about Katie who moves to a nowhere small town and it starting over. There she meets Alex and the have a weird relationship at first then they realize that they are falling for each other but Katie has a secret that threatens to pull them apart AND an ending that pulls everything together but is touching as well.

BUT you must read! I loved it and I am going to the BF's house tomorrow so I'm going to rad her book collection.

Have a great Veteran's Day!

Day 7 and 8 of Thankfulness

These two are very much intertwined.

I am thankful for Jesus and everything he has done for me. He forgave me and I know I will meet him someday in heaven! It is such an exciting feeling to know that you have the most powerful being EVER on your side! I am thankful he loved us so much he died for us so we could spend eternity with him. Words truly cannot express how thankful I am or how we all should be.

I am thankful for the freedom to worship! That is the reason the Pilgrims came to America. They wanted the freedom to worship God without being persecuted. I am thankful for the church I go to and the friendly way they welcome people into the church. It is not stuffy or judgemental they love people because Jesus loves us!

That is all for today :)

Sunday, November 6, 2011

Day 6 of Thankfulness

Not alot goin on here today...went to work then came to home to the puppy and the hubs.

Sunday nights we watch Desperate Housewives which is one of our addictions! I love that he loves to watch it too!! There is another new show we really like and it is totally outrageous but we have been sucked in, its called Once Upon A Time, its a silly show about fairy tale figures and they have been put under a spell and they live in modern day but do not remember who they really are...yes sounds ridiculous but we like it...lol

Day 6 of Thankfulness....I'm thankful for my job! I realize that many do not have one and that makes me extremely grateful for the one I have but I also enjoy my job, (for the most part). I am learning things that I can use with my degree and do things I have always wanted to do in my career. I am anxious to get promoted and all that but I know if I put in the hard work I will be on my way before I know it.

I will leave with the sweetest picture of our sweetest Ariel :)
She loves her bows!

Day Five of Thankfulness and A Fun Day with the Sisters

So this morning was a little hectic...actually alot hectic. Having to watch Ariel and make sure she doesnt get into things and all that and get her ready to take to grannies to watch today was a task for sure. She also decided to do her poo business twice this morning and I didnt get to her in time AND I probably took her out about 5 times in a two hour period because I was afraid of that but it still didnt help.

Anways...
I took my twin sisters shopping today. We had fun and we did tons of stuff! We shopped, ate lunch, shopped again...walked dowtown, ate icecream then we even had time to see Puss in Boots which is cute and they liked it.

When I got home I made supper! Again I should've took a pic and was meaning to but the excitement of eating I guess made me forget lol. I made crap stuffed shrimp! SOOOO GOOD! I made some crab cakes and cheddar biscuits with it...YUMM-O!

Day 5-I am thankful for my home. I complain about it..alot but I know I should be thankful I have somewhere to live. I have dreams of a home we will build someday but we do have a nice little place and I should be more aprreciative, because some do not have a home.

:)

New Puppy and Day 4 of Thankfulness

BIG NEWS for the Roberts household!

We bought a puppy!! Her name is Ariel..yes The Little Mermaid is my favorite Disney movie and I have always wanted to name my first dog that! The hubby and I decided this is our Christmas present to each  other. She is a Mini Australian Shepherd and she fits in so well!!
This isn't the best picture because it is on my phone and she has been running around investigating the new home. Better pics to come. I also cannot wait for our Christmas pics and she will have an outfit for the occassion!

I spent the day with my Mom since we were both off. We had a nice lunch and walk downtown because it was beautiful outside!

Day 4-I am so thankful for my friends...my TRUE friends. I have had some that come and go but the few that have stayed have my total trust and they all mean so much to me. I could on and on about how they have been great and the good times we have shared together. I love them all!!!

Tomorrow I will try and get some better pics of Ariel...we will see how that goes!

Day 3 of Thankfulness

Yesterday I was so tired. I was at work  all day and my mind was mush when I came home and the hubs was doing homework so I just read and then we hit the hay. So yesterdays blog is today! lol

OK so I fell asleep during the Captain America...it was not interesting to me at all! lol I was reading Safe Haven and the more I read it the more I'm sucked in and I don't want to put it down! Without giving away any part of the book, it did make me thankful for my hubby and how kind he is. If you read it you will know why!

Day 3 I am thankful for family. My family can be described as the Reba Show. It is crazy and unconventional but they are my family and I am happy to have each of them in my lives! Especially my brother and my two sisters they hold a special placeon my heart.

I am currently watching Kathie Lee and Hoda.. I love them!

So supper last night was a hit! The hubs liked it and I thought it was pretty tasty myself! The only thing is we could add some chicken to it but either way it will be good! Here's a link incase you want to try it!

And I forgot to take a picture (of course) but it didn't look like that but it was still good!

A new obsession of mine is Pinterest.com. I love it! They have the best ideas for EVERTHING! From recipes, to decor, to cleaning...just about anything you can imagine!

So I have seen on Facebook alot of people telling things they are thankful for everyday until Thanksgiving, so I decided to do the same because it is good to think about the great things in our lives instead of the bad and since I didn't do one yesterday I'm doing two today.

Day 1-My mother. Words truly cannot express how wonderful of a mother she has been to be and my brother. Even in the tough times she went on and showed us to forgive others and be good people and each other. SHe always put my brother and I first no matter what. She is the best Mom I could have ever asked for

Day 2-My hubby. Even thought we have our bad times he is still my love. He makes me laugh and smile on days when I feel down and he knows the right words to say to make my day better. I cannot imagine my life without him.

The hubs has requested to watch Cpt. America (yay) lol so we will see how it goes. I will let you know if its worth watching!

New Favorites!!!

I don't usually blog.
It has been something I've wanted to do. I just didn't have the time or just didn't make the time.
But now...now I'm pretty sure I do and I'm excited about that! Since I finished school in August, I have so much extra time on my hands. I have thought over the past few months what exactly to do with it, and since going back to school and maybe having a baby are not options right now I have decided to do things I have wanted to do but didn't have the time.
1. BLOG :)
2. COOK! My hubby will LOVE this.
3. Extreme coupon...trying but it is really hard
4. Read. I used to read all the time when I was younger and the older I became the less I did. The other day I got the bug and bought a book, Safe Haven. I like it so far. I'm on chapter 10 of 48..I think so I have a ways to go still.
5. SCENTSY! I am a Scentsy Consultant. I LOVE SCENTSY! I want to make more time to think of creative ways to grow my business! website https://brittanyroberts.scentsy.us/Home If you have never tried it before, I PROMISE you will love it!
6. DIY Projects. Since my hubby is was laid off he is currently looking for a job so I am looking for ways to decorate and do other things for the holiday season that won't hurt the pocket book too much. Pinterest is amazing.
Thats all for today, I am going to cook a new recipe from The Pioneer Woman. I will post pics and summary of how it went..lol
