My brother, his girlfriend and I went shopping in Louisville. Then later that night he made supper and we played games and watched the ball drop together! It was fun to celebrate with each other.
New Years we went to church then went to visit out grandparents, then went ot visit our mom. We rented a movie to watch and because of the windy day we were having the power went out. Once we found all the candles (mind you my mom had just moved in so we had to dig throught boxes)..thank goodness for cell phones, lol, my younger sisters had an idea to play charades..or a modified version of it! So each of us took our turns going up in front of the candle and being silly and having everyone guess. We had alot of fun with it and the girls loved it too!
Today the hubs and I relaxed and made a quick trip to town. We rented The Help and I am so excited to watch it!
On New Years Eve I started to think about the year that was coming to an end and the things that happened in it. The year was mostly filled with good things I graduated college and celebrated my one year wedding anniversary. The end wasn't great but things could have turned out alot worse. I am thankful for a good year and the great memories with my family and friends.
New Years Resolution
I never usually keep them but I like to set a few goals for the year and here are a few...
1. Get fit/lose 15-20 lbs
I always make this every year but I am going to really give an extra effort because I want to be fit and learn to enjoy excersising.
2. Take more pictures .
I dont have many pictures of things and the year goes by and unless my bf takes them, I dont have any lol so I want to be sure to not let another year go by without capturing it.
3. Buy more products made in USA
I saw an ABC News report about the idea of challenging Americans to buy more products made in the USA to help fuel the economy to create more jobs for Americans to lower unemployment. They had an update on that news story and showed that more jobs had been created with the help of the viewers who said they would start buying more US products. So that has encouraged me to try my best even if it makes a small difference.
I hope everyone has a great start to the new year!
